We focus on making a craft that requires multiple steps, and is multi-medium. So kids learn attentive focus, composition, and how to use different materials as they work through a step by step process that challenges and excites them to create. In addition, each week the kids will use an art journal to learn to draw or paint! This helps kids learn to conceptualize, use their fine motor skills, and practice drawing form and shapes. We teach a new art technique each week! WHY? So kids learn that art has many forms! At Dandelion Art Center, kids learn hundreds of ways to make art throughout the year. This approach teaches kids a variety of techniques so they have art skills as a life tool. Art is not just drawing on a piece of paper; it is beading, clay sculpture, mosaic, and more! Your kids will view art as a positive learning and relaxation tool. We help kids learn what kind of art they enjoy making at a young age so they have a positive way to self-express for their mental and emotional well being.
